To our loyal Clients and Friends of Cursio Group,
With heavy hearts we write to inform you of the passing of our beloved inspirational leader, brother, uncle and father Tony Cursio.
Sadly, Tony was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and quite quickly his health declined. He peacefully passed away on 26th July 2021, survived by his two sons Adam and David, their mother Daniela, his brothers Michael and Matthew and sisters Anna and Molly, and their respective extended families.
Tony’s career in Financial services spanned four decades and during that time he became your broker, advisor and close friend. He will be sorely missed by all of us.
Mostly known for his professional work in the financial services sector, Tony was infamous and also widely respected in the Melbourne Italian community for his long standing career as an entertainer and performer. Tony ensured his passion for both these fields was passed on to his two sons Adam and David who have worked proudly by his side since their teenage years.
He cherished every single one of his relationships. Particularly yours, his clients. Tony’s motto in business was to work as a team, for the common goal. And to make everyone feel like family, all the time. This included staff, clients, industry connections and anyone else he met along the way. This all important trait will continue to be the driving force behind our mission, in Tony’s honour.
In line with Tony’s long term plan, Adam and David Cursio have now taken over the management of Cursio Group. We could not be more proud of our father for all the good work he had done. We have a wonderful team of loyal staff in place to continue providing the advice and service you were used to in Tony’s care. The team includes Anna Carrafa, Tony’s sister, her daughter (Tony’s niece) Louise Randi and Valentina Beccaris who came to us as the daughter of long-standing clients. We have also recently welcomed to our financial planning business, Nat Lidestri and Anthony Tripodi. Please continue to contact our main office number (03) 9481 2222 for any assistance you may need.
The details of Tony’s funeral, which will be streamed via live web link, can be found here at Tobin Brothers – Tony Cursio Tribute Page. This will be a private funeral for immediate family only, in line with current restrictions in place. The funeral is scheduled for this Friday 13th August at 11am at St Clement of Rome, Bulleen.
Please keep Tony in your prayers and from all of us we thank you for being his friend and loyal client, in some cases for more than 30 years. We look forward to being able to celebrate Tony’s life with an open invitation memorial service, in the near future. Please stay tuned for an update on when this will be. Please like our Facebook page or keep an eye on our website for details.
